Providing Reflexology Since 2007
Reflexology is a holistic healing technique that works on the principle that there are reflex points on the feet and hands that correspond to every organ and system in the body. By applying pressure to these points, reflexology can help alleviate stress, improve circulation, and promote overall wellness.
At Reflexology for Wellness, I specialize in the Ingham Method of reflexology, a tried and tested approach that helps people achieve better health. Reflexology's roots date back to ancient China, India, and Egypt. Licensed since 2006, I have been nationally certified by the American Reflexology Certification Board since 2014. As a reflexologist I have been certified in the Ingham Method, which was developed by Eunice Ingham, who is considered to be the mother of American reflexology. Her nephew, Dwight Byers, established the International Institute of Reflexology. He and other certified instructors have taught the Ingham Method around the world.
I am also Nationally certified by the American Reflexology Certification Board.
Reflexology is not massage but is often confused with massage. It originated thousands of years ago in places such as China, India, and Egypt.
I'm currently president of the North Dakota Reflexology Board. I have been a member of the Reflexology Association of America since 2010. I served as a board member of the Reflexology Association of America from 2013 to 2018. Reflexology for Wellness opened its doors in 2007, and I have many long-term customers. I was a nurse for 39 years, primarily working in the operating room. I also worked in the ICU and managed a small surgery center. While taking a class about the Spirituality of Nursing I discovered reflexology as I researched information about Complimentary Health. My curiosity led me to find someone to give me a reflexology session, which provided me with an improvement in my health. I then began taking classes and found the holistic approach to better health resonated with me. Ultimately, I resigned from a very good nursing position, became a licensed reflexologist in 2006, and opened Reflexology for Wellness in 2007.
After establishing my business, I became involved with the ND Reflexology Association, The Reflexology Association of America, and the International Council of Reflexologists. I served as the Vice President and President of the ND Reflexology Association and was a Board member of the Reflexology Association of America from 2013-2018.
I am currently the President of the ND Reflexology Board.
